Restumping

Restumping is the process of replacing the stumps that support the floor of your home. Over time, older timber or deteriorating stumps can rot, shift, or sink due to age, moisture, or soil movement. This can lead to uneven or bouncy floors, cracks in walls, and doors or windows that don’t close properly. Restumping replaces these worn or damaged supports with new, strong stumps—usually concrete or steel—to restore stability and keep your home sitting level.

During the process, the house is carefully and safely lifted using specialised equipment so the old stumps can be removed and replaced. The new stumps are installed and adjusted to ensure the floor is level before the home is gently lowered back into place. Restumping helps improve the safety, structure, and longevity of your home while giving you peace of mind that your foundations are solid.

Underpinning

Underpinning is a process used to strengthen and stabilise the existing foundations of a home. Over time, factors such as soil movement, moisture changes, poor drainage, or ageing materials can cause foundations to shift or settle. This can lead to cracks in walls, uneven floors, or doors and windows that no longer close properly. Underpinning reinforces the foundation by extending or strengthening the support beneath the home, helping restore stability and prevent further movement.

During the underpinning process, sections beneath the home are carefully excavated and reinforced with concrete footings or other structural supports. These new supports are installed in stages to safely strengthen the foundation while maintaining the structural integrity of the building. Once complete, underpinning provides a stronger, more stable base for your home and helps protect it from future foundation issues.

Retaining Walls

Retaining walls are built to support and hold back soil where there is a change in ground level. They’re commonly used to prevent soil movement, reduce erosion, and create level areas on sloping blocks. Retaining walls can help make outdoor spaces more functional by allowing for flat lawns, garden beds, driveways, or pathways where the natural ground would otherwise slope.

We build strong, reliable retaining walls designed to suit your property and soil conditions. Using quality materials and proven construction methods, our retaining walls provide long-term structural support while also improving the overall look and usability of your outdoor space. Whether it’s for landscaping, structural support, or managing drainage, a well-built retaining wall is a practical and lasting solution.
